Right, it's time to explain why I wasn't here for soooo long. Life is busy enough without my hobby and during the summer holidays it's bit hard to find time to do something extra just for myself:) This time I could use some of my skills to build something for my son... Well, not exactly for himself... Ronnie was dreaming about a lizard for years, but I didn't want to think about it to much, mainly because I had no idea about lizards, how to look after it, how to feed it... But it was time to start making the big dream comes true.
Korneliusz has arrived:)
We've decided instead of buying ready vivarium, we have materials and skills to build one. We used plywood, plexiglass, expanding foam and tile adhesive.
Expanding foam was used to go basic 'rocks' and caves.
The foam was cutted to the shape and then we started covering it with tile adhesive. At this point it didn't look very good, actually I was bit worried...
When it dried, we added some colours and covered it all with PVA glue...
At the end we add some decorations - plants, skull, hand made handles....
At this point we knew we were ready to welcome our new baby!
